We are looking for a part time Interior Design Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design or a 3-year interior design degree from CIDA accredited program. 

AAT and  AAS-T do not meet the requirements for this position. 

Be proficient in the following programs: 
Must be a rock star at Sketch up to produce professional renderings.

AutoCAD (2D)
Microsoft Office Suite

Be a creative and highly motivated person with an amazing attitude!
Highly interested in working on residential projects 
Enjoy working independently/alone in the office.
While the position will involve client and vendor interaction, errands, team meetings, and other non-desk related activities, applicant should also enjoy working at a desk all day-most days. 

Have great graphic design sense, must love formatting and all things visual.
Personal interest in and love of interior design.
Have great interior design and aesthetic sense, know what looks good
Must be Intelligent and able to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
Great writer, communicator, good at asking questions, and detail-oriented
Trustworthy and overall just a great person.

JOB DUTIES: 
Assist with measuring as-builts for new project
Drawing as-builts in AutoCAD
Researching and utilizing client style profile information to inspire & Create design goals & visual concepts.
Creating furniture layout options in AutoCAD.
Creating 3D models in Sketchup to produce professional renderings. Formatting sheets for client presentation.
Online product image searching Creation of concept boards/digital collages in in-design.
Creation of construction drawing sets in AutoCAD, including cabinetry design, and plans for all interior details and finishes.
Sourcing of hard-surface materials and products.
Creation of construction specifications in Excel to coordinate with the construction drawings.
Searching/sourcing for fabrics and furnishings.
Creation of furniture options sheets and specifications.
Accessories shopping.
Accessories installation.
Must have car for errands (will be reimbursed for mileage).

BONUS POINTS:
Poduim (is a plus)
Are a great freehand drawer.
Familiar with kitchen and bath (cabinet) design.
Interested in learning new things and are good with power tools.

ABOUT US:
Located in historic Gig Harbor waterfront.
We specialize in high end residential interior design. 
We have been in business for about 10 years and in our current location for 2 years.

DETAILS
$18-$25.hr + Depending on experience. 
Hours: Flexible schedule but must be willing to meet project deadlines. 
10-20 hrs. Per week to start, with opportunity for growth.
